Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Daytime skin care product mainly targets to protect
our skin from daily aggressors like pollution and UV and it is normally recommended
to use products specifically designed for repair and restore at night as skin is
most receptive to recovery during this time. I have been using the 3-step daily
skin care regime with different serum that suits my needs from time to time.
However, my skin is still dehydrating resulting from long exposure to dry air. My
recent visit over the counter at Saks Fifth Avenue for beauty consultation has
really helped me combating skin dehydration problem.
Love in Bloom by Laneige
Monday, February 20, 2012
February or widely known as the month of romance, love and affection and this year Laneige launches Love in Bloom collection as its limited edition of makeup products inspired by Peony Root (symbolizes the message of love) and Tulip (represents the confession of love) for the celebration of love.
The Love in Bloom collection includes a range of eye shadow palette, sculpting blusher and lip gloss in its own beautifully designed package.
The eye shadow palette comes in 9 colours, which would satisfy the making of your daily look from soft and natural to smokey eyes effortless. The best item in this collection that I personally love has to be the sculpting blusher that comes in 3 complementary shades to sculpt, colour and illuminate cheekbones and create a multi-dimensional look. Well, it is a quick way to shape and sculpt a slimmer face and at the same time it gives you an energetic and bright looking skin if your skin is dull.

How to Wear Lace
Saturday, September 11, 2010
A trend round-up to inspire you for late-Summer 2010, but also a trend that you'd be amiss not to carry in to Autumn / Fall 2010 / 2011: lace dresses and lace skirts.
Right now you're thinking that this is nothing new. And you're right; it's an extension of the sheer trend that's has, for some time, firmly cemented itself as its own, independent trend. So what follows is, instead, more about how to wear the trend now, and how to set yourself apart from the masses - so that you can bring it forwards and into a new league.
Step 1: Black Lace
Vamp up the black lace look with leather trousers. Black v-necks are flattering for big busts, and a backless lace style adds a subtle sexiness.
As lace is limited on the outfit, bring in a lace accessory such as a bag or choker.
Step 2: Ruffled Lace
Ruffle details add a romantic edge and make the bust look bigger. Combine a ruffle top with a pencil skirt for a hot seasonal look. Go for simple accessories and a sexy pair of heels.
Step 3: Metallic Lace
Metallic lace is a sexy, vintage alternative to black, and neutral tones can be more flattering on the skin. The shift dress with a backless detail is sexy and stylish, but make sure you wear seamless underwear. Keep the rest of the outfit simple - bare legs and simple heels.
Step 4: Lace Print
Printed lace looks fine and intricate, and works well on a dress.
If you're pear shaped, avoid lace print on the bottom half, but a dress with a plain black top is flattering if you have a big bust.
Finish the look with heels and a jet or lace choker.
Step 5: Lace Skirts
Black ruffle mini skirts are great for petite frames and if you like showing your legs off. Team with a cream chiffon blouse to soften the look. Accessorise with a great pair of heels to lengthen your legs.
Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Trend
Thursday, September 9, 2010
The start of the Spring / Summer 2010 season means it's time to refresh your wardrobe. And what a time it is: the first new season for 2010, and the first since the affects of the global financial crisis have begun the wane. Take this as an opportunity to not only splurge, but to set a course for how you'll dress for not just Spring / Summer, but beyond into 2010.
If ever there was a time to hit the gym, it's this Spring. Hemlines have crept up to shorter than short; in fact reaching the negative. Hot pants, boy shorts, and tap pants are all variations on this shorter-than-short style, which in many cases reveal more than just one's legs.
Lace clothing
No, it's not new. But, like all trends that span multiple seasons, it has evolved. Lace influences for Spring 2010 are more to the classic side with quality antique-style fabrics the key to the trend. Less of the allover, stretch lace and more of the unique takes.
60s ladylike
The silhouettes of the 1950s and 1960s make a strong return, with shapes that accentuate curves and foster femininity. A hip-hugging sheath dress with a below-the-knee hem is the ultimate in hourglass dressing, while the full circle skirt and dress remain at the core of the trend. For Spring 2010 introduce fresh colours, prints and light summery fabrics.
Knee high and over the knee socks
Knee high socks - as well as over-the-knee and thigh high socks - are back as a trend, and the options on how to wear them are many. From the sporty to the sparkly, to layerings of socks over tights; a great pair of socks can add volumes to an outfit.
Stripes for Summer
Stripes may be eternal, but there are ways to bring them into line with the perfect on-trend Summer look this year. Make stripes a dominant feature of your outfit and you're well on the way.
See-through and sheer fabrics trend
In Spring and Summer fashion tends to get a little more revealing; we blame it on the heat, and one's desire to show off. So in 2010 turn to the sheer / see-through trend to keep you cool yet sexy. 2010's sheer pieces are a mixture of the soft and feminine, to the opposite extremes of the hardcore sex-kitten.
4 Outfits That Make Your Thighs Thinner
Tuesday, September 7, 2010
The right outfit can make upper-leg weight disappear into thin air.
1) Embrace A-Lines
The purple dress blouses over midthigh, visually adding inches. The jumper's A-line hem makes Sophia Bush's legs look narrow in comparison.
2) Keep Pants Long
Boxy capris and flats give the illusion of short, thick legs. Long, dark jeans with heels elongate Elisha Cuthbert's frame and hide curvy thighs.
3) Choose Shorter Tops
The tank hits at the widest part of Fergie's thigh — eek! A shorter tee and looser, straight-leg jeans streamline her figure.
4) Sport a Flowy Fabric
The gray dress clings to every curve; the red one downplays Alicia Keys' thighs, creating a slim hourglass silhouette.

How To Choose Colours That Flatter Your Skin Tone
Sunday, September 5, 2010
Did you know that the colors you choose to wear can have a positive or negative effect on your appearance? Whether your color selection has a positive or negative effect on your appearance depends on whether your complexion has a warm or cold tone.
Selecting the wrong colors can result in:
Skin Tone appearing drained and tired
Shadowing creating a false impression of under-eye circles
Shadowing causing a false impression of double chins
Giving your teeth a slightly yellow hue
Selecting the right colors can result in:
Skin tone appearing radiant and glowing
Eyes appearing brighter and alert
Hair reflecting highlights
What Season Is Your Skin Tone?
To determine what colors will look best on you, you must first analyze your skin tone, natural hair color and eye color.
To determine the undertone color of your skin, look at the inside of your arm in natural daylight.
Then decide which season most accurately describes your complexion based on the list below.
The list below will act as a guideline of colors and shades that will work best for you.
The Four Seasons
There are 4 seasons of skin tones divided into warm and cold tones. Cool tones are Winter and Summer complexions. Warm tones are August and Spring Complexions.
Winter (Cool Tone)
You are a winter tone if the inside of your arm has blue or pink/rosy undertones:
- Skin can be pale and porcelain white, yellowish-olive, or dark.
- Has a lot of depth to their coloring and a lot of contrast between their hair color, eye color and skin tone.
Generally brunettes with deeply colored eyes.

The Best

Bright white or icy pastels, such as like cool blues, pinks and yellows
The Worst
Earthy tones and subdued colors like beige, orange and gold

Summer (Cool Tone)
You are a summer tone if the inside of your arm has blue or pink undertones with very pale and pink skin:
- Generally occurs in natural blondes, and pale-skinned brunettes with pale eyes
The Best
Soft neutrals and pastels, as well as muted colors with cool undertones.
Powder blue, dusty pink, mauve, lavender, plum, and pale yellow
The Worst
Intense, vivid hues

Black and orange
Autumn (Warm Tone)
You are a autumn tone if the inside of your arm has golden undertones like a pale peach, golden beige or golden brown:
- Generally redheads and brunettes with golden brown eyes and golden blonde and black hair coloring.
Tend to have dark eyes
The Best
Rich golden, spicy, and earthy colors
Muted and rich warm colors, such as camel, beige, olive, orange, gold, dark brown, and grey.
The Worst

Spring (Warm Tone)
You are a spring tone if the inside of your arm has subtle golden undertones, and are usually creamy white or peach with extremely light, ivory skin color:
- Generally natural golden blondes, auburn, or strawberry blond redheads
Very clear, light blue and green colored eyes
Freckles and rosy cheeks
Tend to have pale eyes
The Best
Pale, soft colors, such as peach, camel, golden yellow, golden brown, aqua, ivory, bright greens, true reds, clear blues and coral.
